TRIP Terms and Conditions

Welcome to TRIP, the ride-hailing mobile app. By using our app and services, you agree to the following terms and conditions (the “Agreement”). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use our services.

1. Introduction

TRIP provides a platform that connects passengers ("Users") with drivers ("Drivers") for the provision of transportation services. TRIP is a technology service provider and is not responsible for the transportation provided by the Drivers. By using the TRIP app, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms and conditions.

2. Eligibility

To use the TRIP app, you must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts. By using the app, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3. Account Registration

To use the app, you must create an account by providing accurate and up-to-date information, including your name, phone number, email address, and payment information. You agree to maintain the confidentiality of your account information and are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Use of Services

By using the TRIP app, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when booking a ride.
• Use the app only for lawful purposes and in accordance with all applicable local, state, and national laws.
• Not engage in any disruptive or dangerous behavior during a ride, including harassment, violence, or substance abuse.
• Comply with any instructions or rules provided by the Driver during the trip.

5. Ride Booking and Cancellation

• Booking a Ride: You can book a ride through the TRIP app, and we will match you with an available Driver.
• Cancellation: If you cancel a ride after a Driver has accepted your request, you may be charged a cancellation fee, as specified in the app.
• Pricing: The price of the ride is determined based on factors like distance, time, and vehicle type. TRIP reserves the right to change prices at any time, but will notify you before any changes take effect.

6. Payment

• Payment Methods: You agree to provide a valid payment method when booking a ride. TRIP accepts payments through credit cards, debit cards, or other methods available in the app.
• Charges: Charges for the ride are processed through your chosen payment method. You are responsible for any fees, including applicable taxes, tolls, or surcharges.
• Refunds: In the event of a dispute or if a service is not provided as agreed, refunds are handled at the sole discretion of TRIP.

7. User and Driver Conduct

• Users: You agree to treat Drivers respectfully and abide by the rules of conduct. Any inappropriate behavior, including verbal or physical abuse, may result in termination of your account.
• Drivers: Drivers are expected to provide safe, courteous, and professional service. Any failure to meet these standards may result in deactivation of the Driver's account.

8. Privacy

Your use of the TRIP app is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the app, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of Liability

TRIP is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the app, including but not limited to damages related to accidents, injuries, property damage, or personal harm that may occur during a ride.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold TRIP, its affiliates, and employees harmless from any claims, losses, or damages, including legal fees, arising from your use of the app, violation of these terms, or misconduct during a ride.

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes or claims related to these Terms and Conditions will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of TRIP LLC. By using the app, you agree to waive any right to a trial by jury or class action.

12. Termination and Suspension

TRIP may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms and Conditions. Upon termination, you will no longer be able to access or use the TRIP services.

13. Changes to Terms and Conditions

TRIP reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the app or website. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.

14. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Cameroon, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
